Mental Health Coaches help individuals and faith communities learn how to manage emotions, reduce stress and anxiety, challenge negative thinking patterns, and improve relationship skills — all of which boosts mental health. You’ll also learn to properly uphold ethics and confidentiality, and understand confidentiality limits.
Our Mental Health Coach training gives you information, skills, practical scenarios, and actionable steps that guide you toward setting up your Mental Health Coach practice in your community. The online 18-hour course includes 12 hours for Mental Health Coaching and 6 hours per specialty course. Specialization trainings are available in the following areas: Addiction and Behavioral Health Disorders, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Aging and Elder Care, and Trauma. You’ll receive certification at the end of this training.
